Chinese remedial infant massage or xiao er tui na is a safe, non-invasive, low-cost, and extremely effective therapy for the treatment of a wide variety of common childhood ailments. Unlike Western infant massage, Chinese infant massage uses very specific protocols or treatments for specific ailments. Most common childhood complaints respond in only one or two treatments. About the Author:
Dr. Fan Ya-li teaches both adult and pediatric tui na or Chinese remedial massage at the Shandong College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She not only teaches tui na to Chinese medical students at the college but also to foreign students studying at the college in English. In addition, she works as a doctor of tui na at the Shangdong College of TCM Affiliated Hospital in Jinan. She has previously published for books on tui na in China and numerous articles on remedial massage in Chinese TCM journals.
